Licensed Clinical Social Worker
Hi! Seeking therapy is a courageous step, and my hope is to gain your trust and build rapport. I provide therapy in a non-judgmental space to help facilitate this. I embrace “to be flawed is to be human,” and with this will focus from a Strengths perspective in our work together. My role is to help empower you to use your positive character traits to shift towards the change you want to see in life. I will incorporate mindfulness practice as well as components of Person-centered therapy, Motivational Interviewing, Solution-Focused Therapy and CBT to guide you in your therapeutic journey. My only requirements to work together are honesty and an open-mind. I thoroughly enjoy working with adults and adolescents, including those struggling with substance abuse issues.
Between growing up in Marietta and North Carolina, I found a passion for helping others. I’ve always enjoyed helping friends by listening and helping comfort them while formulating solutions too. I relished (and still do) any time outside, finding this as a sanctuary as well as a healing place when adversity appeared. Being able to help others through life’s challenges enriches me. Allow me to help you!
If you catch me outside the office, more than likely I will be (or on my way to) running, playing tennis or hiking. I believe balance is important in daily living, so don’t be surprised to see me laughing or joking either (including in our sessions), it comes with loving what you do!
