Methods and Treatment Approaches
Eye Movement Desensitization& Reprogramming (EMDR)
A technique in psychotherapy that helps the brain process and heal from traumatic experiences that remain emotionally "stuck." By reducing the emotional intensity of painful memories, EMDR allows clients to move forward without feeling controlled by their past.
Internal Family Systems (IFS) & Parts-Work
A therapeutic method which recognizes that trauma often leads us to develop protective parts that helped us survive difficult experiences. IFS helps clients build compassionate relationships with these parts, allowing an unburdening related of attachments to painful experiences deep healing and lasting change to emerge from within.
Mindfulness & Somatic Experiencing
These approaches invite us to meet our inner experiences with curiosity and compassion instead of criticism. By learning to be present with our thoughts, emotions, and physical sensations, we retrain the nervous system's automatic reactions to stressors. Clients often find greater calm, clarity, and the capacity to respond with purpose and intention, rather than simply react.

Training the brain after the effects of chronic stress and trauma via real-time feedback for more balanced and efficient patterns of functioning. As the brain develops healthier patterns of activity, clients often experience improvements in emotional regulation, sleep, concentration, and an increased sense of calm and resilience. Research suggests it can reduce symptoms of PTSD, anxiety, hypervigilance, and sleep disturbances while supporting overall nervous system regulation.
