PLEASE READ CAREFULLY — THIS AFFECTS YOUR LEGAL RIGHTS.

In consideration of being permitted to participate in the Nature’s Calling Retreat(“Retreat”), I acknowledge and agree as follows:

1. Assumption of Risk

I understand that the Retreat includes outdoor activities in forested, mountainous, and variable weather conditions, including hiking on natural terrain, camping outdoors, group activities, and mindfulness practices outside. I knowingly assume all risks associated with participating in these activities, including but not limited to: uneven ground, wildlife encounters, weather exposure, slips, falls, fatigue, property damage, or personal injury.

2. Physical Condition

I represent that I am in good health and capable of participating in all Retreat activities. I agree not to hold The Peaceful Place, LLC, its guides, facilitators, employees, volunteers, or agents responsible for any injury resulting from my participation if caused by my own failure to follow safety guidance or other instructions. I will disclose any relevant medical conditions or limitations at time of registration, and will update my condition at time of Retreat if my status changes.

3. Weather and Environmental Conditions

I acknowledge and understand that the Nature’s Calling Retreat takes place in an outdoor, natural environment where weather and environmental conditions may be unpredictable and may change rapidly. These conditions may include, but are not limited to, heat, cold, rain, wind, storms, humidity, uneven terrain, mud, insects, wildlife, and other natural hazards.

I voluntarily assume all risks associated with exposure to weather and environmental conditions, including physical discomfort, illness, injury, or property damage that may result from such exposure. I understand that activities may proceed in varied weather conditions unless deemed unsafe by Retreat staff.

I agree that The Peaceful Place, LLC reserves the right to modify, delay, relocate, or cancel activities due to weather or environmental concerns for the safety of participants. I acknowledge that weather-related changes or cancellations do not guarantee refunds unless otherwise stated in the Retreat’s refund policy.

I further affirm that I am responsible for bringing appropriate clothing, footwear, gear, hydration, sun protection, insect replant, and personal supplies suitable for outdoor activities in variable weather conditions. I agree to follow all safety instructions related to weather and environmental conditions provided by Retreat facilitators.

4. Waiver and Release

I, on behalf of myself, my heirs, executors, administrators, and assigns, hereby release, waive, discharge, and hold harmless The Peaceful Place, LLC and its representatives from any and all liability, claims, demands, actions, or causes of action arising out of or related to any loss, damage, or injury, including death, that may be sustained by me, or any property belonging to me, during the Retreat or while in, on, or upon the premises. This release covers all acts, whether caused by the negligence of the Released Parties or otherwise.

5. Medical Treatment Authorization

I authorize The Peaceful Place, LLC and Retreat staff to obtain emergency medical treatment for me if needed. I agree that I am responsible for all medical costs incurred on my behalf.

PART IV — REFUND AND CANCELLATION

I understand and agree to the following refund and cancellation terms for the Nature’sCalling Retreat:

1. Participant Cancellations

All registration fees are non-refundable. If a participant is unable to attend for any reason, including but not limited to illness, injury, scheduling conflicts, personal emergencies, or travel issues, no refund will be issued.

2. Transfer of Registration

Registrations may not be transferred to another individual unless prior written approval from The Peaceful Place, LLC. Transfer requests must be submitted no later than 5 days prior to the retreat start date. The replacement participant must complete all required registration forms and waivers.

3. Weather-Related Changes

The Retreat will proceed rain or shine unless deemed unsafe by Retreat staff. Changes to activities, schedule, or location due to weather or environmental conditions do not qualify for a refund.

4. Organizer Cancellation

In the unlikely event that The Peaceful Place, LLC cancels the Retreat due to safety concerns, insufficient enrollment, or unforeseen circumstances, participants will receive a refund of registration fees paid. The Peaceful Place, LLC is not responsible for any additional costs incurred by participants, including travel, lodging, or equipment expenses.

5. Early Departure or Non-Participation

No refunds or partial refunds will be issued for early departure, missed activities, or voluntary non-participation in any portion of the Retreat.

PART V — TERMS AND CONDITIONS

1. Educational and Experiential Nature of Retreat

I understand that the Nature’s Calling Retreat is an educational and experiential program focused on mindfulness, personal growth, and outdoor connection. It is not a substitute for medical care, mental health treatment, psychotherapy, or counseling.

I acknowledge that no diagnosis, treatment, or medical advice is being provided, and I agree that The Peaceful Place, LLC and its facilitators are not responsible for any emotional, psychological, or mental health outcomes that may arise during or after the Retreat.

2. Participant Responsibility and Conduct

I agree to act responsibly, respectfully, and in accordance with all safety guidelines, instructions, and group agreements provided by Retreat facilitators, including, but not limited to refraining from expression of any inflammatory or discriminatory language toward other participants or facilitators, destruction or harm to the environment and/or wildlife, leaving designated trails while hiking, aggression or violence toward other participants and/or facilitators. I understand that failure to comply with instructions or engaging in unsafe, disruptive, or inappropriate behavior may result in my removal from the Retreat without refund.

3. Indemnification

I agree to indemnify and hold harmless The Peaceful Place, LLC, its owners, facilitators, employees, volunteers, and agents from any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, or expenses (including attorney’s fees) arising out of my participation in the Retreat, including but not limited to claims resulting from my actions, negligence, or failure to follow instructions.

4. Alcohol and Substance Use

I understand that the use of alcohol and illegal substances is strictly prohibited during the Retreat, and will not participate in any Retreat activities while impaired.

5. Jurisdiction and Governing Law

This Agreement shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Georgia, and any legal action arising out of this Agreement shall be brought exclusively in the courts located within the State of Georgia.

6. Severability

If any provision of this Agreement is found to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall continue in full force and effect.

7. Weapons

For the safety of all participants, the Nature’s Calling Retreat is a weapons-free event. Small personal utility tools commonly used for camping (such as pocket knives or multi-tools) are permitted when used appropriately. Any item deemed unsafe or inappropriate by Retreat staff may be prohibited.

6. Voluntary Participation

I acknowledge that my participation in the Retreat, and its activities, is voluntary and that I may withdraw from any activity at any time. I understand that choosing not to participate in an activity will not impact my standing in the group nor entitle me to a refund.

PART VI — AGREEMENT TO TERMS

By signing below, I confirm I have read this entire form, understand its terms and conditions, and agree to be bound by it. I certify that all information provided is complete and accurate to the best of my knowledge.
